BYD Hybrid Taxi

I have chance to take the BYD Hybrid Taxi in Shenzhen last month, and would like to share the feelings as below;

- Very silent as no engine sound
- Comfortable ..... large space as like as Accord
- Acceleration also good

According to the Taxi driver, 1 fully charge can run 250KM, but the last 50KM cannot for business as he needs to find the re-charge station. as this is not yet popular (only one Gov't owned Taxi company would invest) hence, only 30 more stations around Shenzhen right now. Besides, parts not common, but BYD would bare all if any thing needs to replace.

Average cost at around RMB0.3-4/ km (fxxking good figure)
One more advantage is the user can still enjoy the air-con even stop for waiting becos no oil, no exhaust and no pollutant released. (fxxking good again)

He told me that his Taxi has run 10 months and around 130,000KM but nothing needs to be repaired so far. (fxxking good the 3rd)

Now, Hong Kong also imported 40 of this BYD Taxi, (HKG taxi photos by eric0754)
Hopefully can try one more time.
