Honda 在東京車展 2013 前夕發布了三款新引擎，分別為 1.0 公升直三、1.5 公升及 2.0 公升直四引擎。其中的 1.0 公升及 1.5 公升引擎改良了 VTEC 結構，令引擎機件的摩擦力降低，並且搭上缸內直噴和更快的渦輪增壓轉子，令引擎輸出遠勝 NA 引擎之餘，更擁有出色的油耗成績。至於最強的 2.0 公升引擎除了有以上的優點外，引擎的進氣及冷卻系統經過優化，能夠爆發 280 匹馬力。而頂級版引擎已植入 Civic 作日本本土傳媒試車之用，新車究竟有什麼新駕駛感？而改用了 Turbo 引擎又會否令 Honda Fans 有所期待？就要推出後看看市場反應。

I drove inline 5 turbo before....very smooth and quiet.

Some may remember a previous report about BMW M having a bit of a look at BMW’s new 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine. The M division chief has now hinted the company might be looking at creating an M version of the upcoming front-wheel drive 1 Series.
